開発開始から約20年を経て登場した本作は、
17世紀カリブ海のスペイン領
「スパニッシュ・メイン」を舞台に、
プレイヤーが海賊として
黄金と栄光を求めて戦う作品です。
本作はハックアンドスラッシュ形式の
激しいアクションを特徴としており、
白兵戦やコンボ攻撃、派手なフィニッシュ技、
大量の敵とのバトルを楽しむことができます。
