I think everyone picking random online is an indication of a underlying issue with the game.
For the people who haven’t played online and don’t understand the point of this.

Picking random forces the game to do a traditional 3 lap race. Picking a stage from the 3 options given includes the intermission tracks + 1 lap race.

People pick random to circumvent that.
